The Belgian car fleet has grown with 4,2% comparing 2009 to 2006. The growth takes place in all regions, with a faster growth then average in the Brussels Capital Region and a slower growth in Flanders. Compared to 2008, the biggest growth in 2009 was in the Walloon Region, and the smallest growth was once again in Flanders.
In general, the same evolutions can be seen over the 3 regions, with slight differences in speed and amount of change. Overall (see Table 1) it can be said that compared to 2006 the overall fleet of 2009 has become slightly younger (-0,3 years), is slightly lighter (+6 kg), has around the same cylinder size but a slightly higher engine power (+4kW). The average CO2-emission has gone down with 4,2 g/km, and the average ecoscore has increased with 4,4 points, which equals an increase of 8,5%. |

Dans le cadre de la sortie des moteurs thermiques en Région de Bruxelles-Capitale (RBC), Bruxelles Environnement a été chargé de mener plusieurs études destinées à évaluer l’impact de la mesure. L'objectif de la présente étude est d'estimer les bénéfices sanitaires de la sortie des moteurs thermiques pour les personnes domiciliées en RBC. À cette fin, les effets sur la santé tels que le nombre de décès prématurés, les maladies et les coûts associés ont été calculés pour un scénario de référence en 2015, et pour quatre scénarios à l'horizon 2030, détaillés dans le rapport. Le rapport a été réalisé par le VITO sur base des projections de Bruxelles Environnement et de la modélisation de IRCELINE. |

In het kader van de uitfasering van de verbrandingsmotoren in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest (BHG) heeft Leefmilieu Brussel de opdracht gekregen verschillende studies uit te voeren om de maatregel te evalueren. Doel van deze studie is een schatting te maken van de gezondheidsvoordelen van de uitfasering van verbrandingsmotoren voor mensen die in het BHG wonen. Daartoe werden gezondheidseffecten zoals het aantal vroegtijdige sterfgevallen, ziekten en de daaraan verbonden kosten berekend voor een referentiescenario in 2015, en voor vier scenario's tot 2030, die in het verslag nader worden toegelicht. Het verslag is opgesteld door VITO op basis van projecties van Leefmilieu Brussel en modellering door IRCELINE. |
